ENTEC participated in the 4th discussion session on “Capability building in the competitiveness of Thailand’s target industries”

On May 13, 2024, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), led by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of Low Carbon Energy Research Group and Chairman of the Low Carbon Energy Strategic Agenda Team, along with the working team consisting of Dr. Kampanart Silva, Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, Dr. Tawan Champeecharoensuk and Mr. Pidpong Janta, participated in the 4th discussion session on “Capability building in the competitiveness of Thailand’s target industries” , which is one of the topics under the conference titled “Clean Energy: Hydrogen & Sustainable Aviation Fuel” at the Mandarin A, Mandarin Hotel, Bangkok.

The event was organized by the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and Office of Industrial Economics (OIE)

During the event, there was a discussion on strategy for enhancing the competitiveness of Thailand’s target industries, aligning with the national economic and social development plan, and advancing each industrial sector. The session also covered the current status of science, research and innovation in the low carbon energy industry. A significant part of the seminar was dedicated to the development of future technologies, specifically Hydrogen and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for commercial use.

Dr. Kampanart Silva, a member of the Strategic Agenda Team focued on Low Carbon Energy presented on “The science, research and innovation status of low carbon industry for building the country’s competitiveness.”

Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, a researcher with ENTEC’s Low Carbon Research Group, addressed “The advancement and development of the Hydrogen and SAF production technology in Thailand for the commercial use” during the panel discussion. He highlighted the opportunities and challenges Thailand faces in the technology development of Hydrogen and SAF for commercial use, with Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop moderating the session and Dr. Tawan Champeecharoensuk serving as the main MC at the event.
