On 16 June 2026 – The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, led by Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Dr. Jiravan Mongkoltanatas, and Dr. Nattanai Kunanusont, joined the Office of Industrial Economics (OIE), the Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI), and the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in organizing a stakeholder workshop on “Developing a Sustainable Electric Vehicle Battery Waste Management Industry Strategy” at Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel, Bangkok.
The workshop brought together representatives from more than 60 organizations across the public, private, and academia sectors to exchange insights and provide recommendations. The outcomes of this discussion will be synthesized into policy recommendations for submission to the National Electric Vehicle Policy Committee (EV Board). This initiative represents an important step in establishing Thailand’s readiness for end-of-life EV battery management, accelerating the sustainable growth of the EV industry, and advancing the country’s circular economy toward its sustainable development goals.
