ENTEC held the 1/2024 (16th) National Energy Technology Center Executive Committee Meeting at Sirindhorn Dam, EGAT in Ubon Ratchathani Province

During January 25-26, 2024, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) convened the 1/2024 (16th) Executive Committee Meeting and undertook a visit to explore innovative initiatives – the “Smart Micro Grid” and “Energy Trading Platform: ETP.” The focal point was on empowering local communities in the domain of energy. Furthermore, the delegation had a chance to visit the Hydro-Floating Solar Hybrid project at Sirindhorn Dam, situated in Ubon Ratchathani.

The Board, led by Prof. Dr. Sirirung Songsivilai, former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) Thailand and chairman of the ENTEC board, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and Vice-Chairman of the ENTEC board, and distinguished members of the ENTEC Board, such as Mr. Kittiphong Limsuwannarot, Chief Executive Officer and Director of BBGI Public Company Limited, Dr. Tunyawat Somjaitaweeporn, Director of the Innovation Center for Robotics and Automation System, and advisor to the ENTEC Board. Dr. JJ Yue Jun Jiang, Chief Technology Officer of CP Group, participated in this site visit.

On this occasion, the Board members traveled to Khong Chiam District in Ubon Ratchathani Province, where they paid respects to the abbot and conducted an inspection of the Smart Micro Grid model, Solar Sharing system, agricultural greenhouse, and Energy Trading Platform at Wat Pa Si Saeng Tham. Dr. Kobsak Sriprapha, the project leader, and the ENTEC research team extended a warm welcome to the delegation. Subsequently, the group visited Sirindhorn Dam with the support of the Provincial Electricity Authority to assess the Hydro-Floating Solar Hybrid project. Then they engaged in substantive discussions during the 1/2024 (16th) National Energy Technology Center Executive Committee Meeting at Sirindhorn Dam, Provincial Electricity Authority, presenting the accomplishments and prospective plans of the National Energy Technology Center for the preceding quarter.
