2025.05.30 ENTEC NSTDA Participates in Public Seminar on “Thailand and Target Countries’ Battery Industry Development Study”

On May 30, 2025, at the Wah Kor 1 & 2 meeting rooms, Chamchuri Square Building, Bangkok

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), participated in the seminar “Thailand and Target Countries’ Battery Industry Development Study” organized by the Office of the National Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO).

Dr. Nattanai Kunanusont, a researcher from the Energy Storage Technology Research Team, Energy Innovation Research Group at ENTEC, was honored to be a guest speaker at the event. He delivered a presentation on “Technological Advancements in the Global Battery Industry” as part of the seminar.

This seminar brought together experts from various sectors to share insights and perspectives on the battery industry in both Thailand and the global context. Dr. Nattanai presented key information on the current direction and cutting-edge innovations in battery technology worldwide, with a focus on advancements relevant to renewable energy systems and electric vehicles (EVs). He also emphasized the critical role of battery technology development in addressing the rapid transitions in energy systems and emerging technologies—developments that will enable Thailand to effectively adapt and position itself within the evolving energy and EV markets.

In addition to Dr. Nattanai’s session, the seminar featured presentations on the global and domestic battery value chain, covering all aspects from upstream to downstream operations, such as materials refining, component production, and End-of-life battery management.

Participants were encouraged to share their feedback and suggestions to help refine strategies for the development of Thailand’s battery industry. The seminar marked a significant step in driving Thailand’s battery industry toward sustainable growth and global competitiveness.
