On February 17, 2025, at the Chamchuri Ballroom, Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Bangkok.
Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of the Low Carbon Energy Research Group at the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), participated in the “BCGeTEC Symposium on Sustainable Aviation Fuel.” The event was organized by the Bio-Circular-Green-economy Technology & Engineering Center, Department of Chemical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
The symposium, themed “Advancing Sustainable Aviation Fuel in Thailand,” featured Dr. Nuwong as a distinguished speaker in the panel discussion on “Current Situations and Government Policies.” He highlighted ENTEC’s ongoing efforts in SAF research and development that align with the government’s policy. He shared the platform with Ms. Sutharee Kiatman, Head of Academic Group, Biofuel Development Division, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), and Mr. Kelvin Lee, Head of Sustainability Asia-Pacific at the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, a researcher from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team within the Low Carbon Energy Research Group and an active contributor to the development of SAF technologies, also attended the symposium. Dr. Visarn’s expertise in the field contributed to the symposium’s discussions. The event brought together stakeholders from government agencies, private sectors, and academic institutions who are committed to supporting research and development, building capacity, and driving workforce development plans and infrastructure policies related to sustainable aviation fuel. This collaborative effort is crucial in facilitating the transition to clean energy and supporting Thailand’s goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.
