2024.12.24-22 ENTEC, NSTDA Participates in the “Conference on Understanding and Building Sustainable Urban Environments: Strengthening Cooperation for Climate Change Resilience”

Dr. Kampanart Silva, a researcher from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) participated as a speaker at the “Conference on Understanding and Building Sustainable Urban Environments: Strengthening Cooperation for Climate Change Resilience.” The event held at the Maruay Garden Hotel in Bangkok, was organized by the Department of Climate Change and Environment.

The conference aimed to enhance understanding of sustainable urban environment practices and foster networking among members of the Local Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Volunteer Network focusing on environmental management and climate change resilience. Dr. Kampanart delivered a lecture on “Risk Analysis Tools and Adaptation to Climate Change Impacts” and engaged in insightful discussions with experts from various relevant organizations. On this occasion, Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of the Low Carbon Energy Research Group also participated in the exchange of knowledge and insights on the development and enhancement of sustainable urban environmental operations.

The conference was designed to foster understanding of work plans and tools for the integrated development of urban sustainability, ensuring preparedness for adapting to climate change. These efforts are aligned with Thailand’s goals of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065.
