The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), creates another source of pride for Thailand’s research and innovation community, the work “EnPAT: Safe Transformer Oil from Thai Oil Palm,” led by Dr. Boonyawan Yoosuk, Leader of the Clean Fuel and Advanced Chemical Technology Research Team, Low Carbon Energy Research Group, and her research team, was selected by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) to participate in the 12th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI 2026) in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China, held on August 21–23, 2025.
on the outstanding achievement of their innovation, “EnPAT: Safe Transformer Oil from Thai Oil Palm,” at the 12th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI 2026) in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China.
The innovation received three awards at the competition, highlighting the potential of Thai research to transform the country’s local bio-resources into innovative energy solutions recognized on the international stage.
The three prestigious awards received are:
– NRCT Special Award for the Excellent Invention
A special award from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) recognizing an outstanding invention of excellence.
– Special Award in Honour of the Highest Standard of Excellence
A special award recognizing an invention that demonstrates the highest standards of excellence, presented by the Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA), Indonesia.
– Gold Medal – Award Certificate of Achievement for the Invention
A Gold Medal awarded for the invention by the Chinese Association of Inventions, China.
This achievement reflects the strong capabilities of ENTEC researchers in advancing Thailand’s energy technologies and innovations onto the international stage. It also highlights the potential of transforming Thailand’s bio-based resources into value-added products and innovative technologies that address the future needs of the energy sector.
