ENTEC and NANOTEC collaborated to host a seminar focused on the theme “New Energy and Storage Trends for Carbon Neutrality.”

On March 28, 2024, the BIOTEC Auditorium meeting room at the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), located in Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani Province, became the epicenter of insightful discourse and knowledge exchange. The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) and the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) collaborated to host a seminar focused on the theme “New Energy and Storage Trends for Carbon Neutrality.”

Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Director of the National Energy Technology Center, kicked off the seminar with an opening address, followed by Dr. Suthee Phucharoenchanachai, Deputy Director of the National Nanotechnology Center, who guided the proceedings.

The seminar garnered esteemed speakers including Mr. Pipit Aneaknithi, Managing Director of Kasikorn Bank Public Company Limited; Ms. Smittipon Srethapramote, Chief Executive Officer of Banpu Next Co., Ltd.; Mr. Buntoon Porapukkham, Vice President – Energy Storage Solution, SCG Cleanergy Co., Ltd.; and Professor Dr. Pisut Painmanakul, Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, and Director of the Carbon Institute for Sustainability (CBiS). Their presentations captured the attention of attendees from government agencies and the private sector, totaling 100 participants.

The seminar provided a comprehensive overview of various perspectives, spanning banking, energy, technology, education, and environmental policy sectors. Discussions revolved around the pivotal role of energy technology in shaping the future of energy transition towards a low-carbon society and sustaining carbon neutrality. It served as a platform for exchanging insights and fostering collaborations to drive impactful change towards a sustainable future.
