The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) led by Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of Energy Innovation Research Group, Dr. Jiravan Mongkoltanatas, Leader of Energy Storage Technology Research Team, and Dr. Nattanai Kunanusont, Researcher of Energy Storage Technology Research Team participated in the 4th ASEAN Battery Technology Conference (ABTC 2026), held on 19–21 August 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The conference brought together experts, researchers, and industry representatives from across the region to exchange knowledge and perspective on battery technology, energy storage, battery safety, and recycling.
During the conference, ENTEC researchers actively contributed to several panel discussions covering key aspects of the battery ecosystem.
Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul joined Panel Discussion 1: “ASEAN Battery Landscape & Strategic Positioning for Global Competitiveness,” sharing insights into the development of the battery industry and ASEAN’s global competitiveness.
Dr. Jiravan Mongkoltanatas joined Panel Discussion 3: “ASEAN Battery Safety Network (ABSN)”, highlighting key perspective on battery safety and regional cooperation.
Dr. Nattanai Kunanusont joined Panel Discussion 6: “Integrating the Battery Value Chain: From Raw Materials to Recycling – Are We Ready?”, exchanging his views with ASEAN experts on the battery value chain, from raw materials and manufacturing to end-of-life management and recycling.
ENTEC’s participation highlights its role in connecting research, technology, and international cooperation across the region to support the development of a safe, sustainable, and competitive battery industry in Thailand and ASEAN.
