2026.06.09-01 ENTEC Participates in International Training Program in China to Advance Low-Carbon Technology Development

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), continues to strengthen international collaboration while enhancing research capabilities and human resource development in low-carbon technologies. Mr. Phumanan Niyomna, research assistant from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, represented ENTEC in the “2026 International Training Course in Green and Low Carbon Technologies,” a nine-day training program held from 1–9 June 2026 in the People’s Republic of China.

The program was jointly organized by the Alliance of Belt and Road Low Carbon Technology Innovation and Cooperation (ALCTIC) and the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center (SSTEC). It aimed to share China’s expertise and best practices in clean energy and advanced materials technologies with professionals from countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Through the program, ENTEC representative gained valuable knowledge and technical foundations in advanced materials development, while also participating in technical visits to enterprises committed to reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable industrial practices. The program further included visits to leading Chinese universities, providing opportunities to exchange knowledge, technologies, and experiences with international experts and practitioners, while fostering regional cooperation to support the energy transition.

Participation in this international program reflects ENTEC’s commitment to promoting green infrastructure and policy frameworks that support Thailand’s decarbonization efforts. Through collaboration with global institutions and experts, ENTEC continues to advance clean energy technologies and innovations in support of Thailand’s Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emissions targets, while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
