2025.12.24 ENTEC, NSTDA Participates in the Dissemination of Study Results on the Development of Baseline Data and Tracking of Greenhouse Gas Reduction, Supporting Thailand’s Transport Sector

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, participated in the 2nd project dissemination seminar entitled “Study Results on the Development of Baseline Data and Tracking of Greenhouse Gas Reduction from Measures to Improve Vehicle Energy Efficiency.” The seminar was organized by the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) on 24 December 2025, at Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Bangkok.

As part of the seminar, Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of Low Carbon Energy Research Group and Project Manager, together with Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat, Leader of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team and Deputy Project Manager, presented a comprehensive overview and key findings of the study. The presentation highlighted the development of baseline data, the Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) system, and assessments of potential reductions in energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) resulting from national transport sector measures.

The study encompasses several key measures including the promotion of electric vehicles, improvements in vehicle energy efficiency, the development of inter-urban transport and green logistics systems, and the advancement of infrastructure and supporting measures for the transport sector. The research findings provide academic and technical evidence to support policy formulation, as well as systematic monitoring and evaluation of greenhouse gas reduction in the transport sector.

ENTEC remains committed to advancing research and knowledge in energy and greenhouse gas mitigation to support government agencies in policy implementation. These efforts contribute to driving Thailand toward achieving its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets and support the long-term development of a sustainable and environmentally friendly transport system.
