2025.03.28-26 ENTEC Showcases Agri-PV Greenhouse at NAC2025

On March 26-28, 2025 at Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani Province

ENTEC showcased its Agri PV greenhouse during the Open House activity at NAC2025, introducing the “SEESOLAR” an innovative semi-transparent solar cell panel. This technology features enhanced ultraviolet (UV) filtering film properties suitable for plant requirements, while reflecting infrared (IR) heat radiation. This breakthrough technology enables the installation of solar panels as greenhouse roofs, overcoming space limitations and maintaining optimal temperature and humidity levels for plant growth. Dr. Taweewat Krajangsang, researcher, along with research assistants and engineers from the Solar Photovoltaic Technology Research Team (SPVT), welcomed visitors in a friendly atmosphere and provided insightful presentations on solar cell technology and its applications in agriculture to over 50 attendees, including farmers, government representatives, private sector professionals, and educators.

Additionally, Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), led the SPVT team in designing and creating an Agri-PV model to be presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for use in her royal duties.

The SPVT research team also demonstrated another innovation: a prototype of lightweight solar panels with a new weight-bearing layer (Mesh PV), installed on the roof of a 14-seat electric vehicle at the Science Park. This “Vehicle Integrated Photovoltaic” system is part of a pilot shuttle service operating during NAC2025. The installation aims to gather data on energy efficiency and showcase ENTEC’s commitment to promoting energy conservation through its research projects under NSTDA.
