On May 12, 2026, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Acting Deputy Executive Director of ENTEC, together with Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, Researcher, and Mr. Phumanan Niyomna, Research Assistant from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, met with the executive management of BBGI Public Company Limited to discuss collaboration opportunities and future directions in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
During the meeting, Dr. Nuwong and Dr. Visarn d\elivered a presentation entitled “Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF): The Fuel of the Future,” where they shared insights, expertise, and experiences with the company’s executives and representatives from the company’s subsidiaries. The session also provides an opportunity to exchange views on industry trends, technological developments, and strategic business opportunities within the sustainable aviation fuel sector.
The discussions covered the current landscape and future outlook of SAF at both the global and national levels, including production technologies, relevant regulatory and policy frameworks, as well as recommendations to promote and accelerate SAF adoption in Thailand. The dialogue aimed to support greenhouse gas emissions reduction in the transportation sector while contributing to the country’s Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emissions goals in the years ahead.
