On 25 April 2026, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, in collaboration with the Science and Technology in Society forum (STS forum), hosted an session on “Sustainable Energy Transition” as part of the STS Forum Japan–Thailand Symposium 2026. The event took place at World Ballroom A, 23rd Floor, Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at Central World, bringing together international partners to strengthen strategic collaboration in science and technology.
On this occasion, Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), was invited to deliver a keynote speech on “Sustainable Energy Transition.”
The session was presided over by Ms. Saowanee Mungsujaritkarn, Deputy Executive Director, NRCT who represented Dr. Wiparat De-Ong, Executive Director of NRCT, in delivering the welcome remarks and presenting certificates of appreciation to Dr. Sumittra, the keynote speaker, and other distinguished presenters.
This session serves as an important platform to help drive Thailand’s energy transition agenda through strengthened international collaboration. It fosters the development of knowledge, technology, and innovation to promote efficient energy use while minimizing environmental impacts. The initiative also aims to enhance the country’s global competitiveness and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
