From 15–16 October 2025, the delegation from the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, led by Dr. Lily Eurwilaichitr, Assistant Executive Director of ENTEC,
Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, Researcher in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, and Dr. Korakot Sombatmankhong Researcher in Clean Fuel Technology and Advanced Chemistry Research Team, participated in the APEC PPSTI Workshop: “Accelerating Low-Carbon Transition through Energy Transition and Circular Economy of Green Hydrogen” hosted by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia under the APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI).
The workshop provided a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices on Green Hydrogen and circular economy strategies toward achieving carbon neutrality in the Asia-Pacific region. ENTEC delegates engaged in discussions to strengthen research cooperation, technology exchange, and the establishment of a regional “Hydrogen ASEAN Network”.
In the afternoon of 16 October 2025, the team also attended the ASEAN Energy Business Forum 2025 (AEBF-25) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, where
Dr. Visarn Lilavivat served as a speaker in the Parallel Session: “Pave the Way for ASEAN to Become a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Global Hub”,
alongside experts from Airbus, Argus Media, ASAFA, and Pertamina. The session highlighted technological innovations, infrastructure development, and investment strategies for scaling up SAF production in ASEAN.
ENTEC’s participation in both APEC and ASEAN forums underscores Thailand’s commitment in advancing clean energy research and innovation, reinforcing its commitment to a low-carbon and sustainable ASEAN future.
