Improvement of energy efficiency is one of the important goals for energy sectors. It is also one of the main contributors to the low carbon society. Energy-efficiency practices and technologies can be applied in all end-use sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and transportation.

ENTEC is aiming to be the R&D support unit to conduct research work that enable further enhancement of energy efficiency in all sectors. The scope of the work covers not only the reduction of energy intensity but also the contribution from energy sector to Thailand National Determined Contribution (NDC). Past work focuses on the contribution from the transportation sector, and evaluation of co-benefits between renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. ENTEC aims to facilitate the implementation of research work and innovation on energy efficiency in real world through collaboration with industries and policy makers, and enlarge the scope of work to cover all end-use sectors.
