On May 29, 2025, Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Director of the Low Carbon Energy Research Group, and Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat, Leader of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Team, National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), were invited as guest speakers for a lecture titled “Development of MRV for the Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions of the Electric Vehicle Promotion Measures”, under the study to establish baseline data for and tracking Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reductions from energy efficiency measures. The event was organized by the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) and held in Rayong province.
The event aimed to raise awareness and promote understanding of the importance of data collection in assessing GHG emissions from the transport sector, particularly in relation to energy efficiency improvement measures. This effort supports the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of GHG reduction inline with the Thailand’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) target.
