2025.04.25 ENTEC Organizes “Capability Building for Energy Transition (2025)” Training Program for OERC Personnel

On April 25, 2025, at Montienthip Room, Montien Hotel, Bangkok
The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, organized the “Capability Building for Energy Transition (2025)” training program for personnel of the Office of Energy Regulatory Commission (OERC). The training program will run from April to October 2025.

During the event, Dr. Sumittra Charojrochjkul, Executive Director of ENTEC, welcomed participants, and provided a report on the implementation of the training program which is being held for the third consecutive year. She emphasized the importance of the energy transition as a shared mission among the government, private sector, and the public. Achieving this transition requires serious cooperation to build a sustainable, secure, and environmentally friendly energy system.

The training curriculum has been carefully designed to cover all aspects of the energy transition, including policies, directions, trends, and technologies through nine main modules:
1) Energy Transition and Trends 
2) Renewable Energy Technologies 
3) Future Electricity Market
4) Small Modular Nuclear Reactors (SMR) 
5) Energy Storage Technologies and Hydrogen Energy 
6) Environmental Management Related to Energy 
7) International Field Studies
8) Domestic Field Studies
9) Climate Change

Additionally, Dr. Poonpat Leesombatpiboon, Secretary-General of the OERC, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a speech expressing his expectations for this year’s training. He highlighted that the training program serves as a crucial platform for enhancing knowledge, fostering understanding, and encouraging the exchange of ideas and experiences. This, in turn, will ultimately help Thailand adapt, accommodate, and grow steadily in the evolving energy landscape of the future.
