The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Dr. Lily Eurwilaichitr, Principal Researcher, took part in the World Data Center for Microorganisms (WDCM) 2026 International Annual Conference, held from September 21–23, 2026, in Beijing, China. She attended as Vice President of the World Federation for Culture Collections (WFCC) and Founder of the ASEAN Network on Microbial Utilisation (AnMicro).
Dr. Lily joined the WFCC Executive Board meeting and gave a talk titled “From ASEAN to Global: Microbial Biobanks for Climate and Energy Solutions.” She presented ENTEC’s work on using microbes for clean energy, including waste-to-energy, biogas and bio-hydrogen. She also highlighted how the AnMicro network is expanding bioenergy cooperation across ASEAN, supporting the energy transition and carbon neutrality goals of Thailand and the region.
