On September 3, 2026, at the Boonrod-Nithipat Meeting Room, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE):
The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), together with DEDE, is moving forward at full force with the policy to promote the production and use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The kick-off meeting was honored by Dr. Apiradee Thammamanomai, Director of the Biofuel Development Division and representative of the Chair of the Policy Study Working Group, who led the policy-driving team. The meeting was attended by more than 60 people from 20 organizations, including government policy management, private sector experts, and specialists, representing the entire SAF value chain.
This joint effort marks an important milestone: working together to assess potential across the entire SAF value chain through a collaborative plan of in-depth interviews with experts and stakeholders from every sector. This lays the groundwork for building sustainability in renewable energy, alongside strengthening energy technology security, in support of the national energy plan and to concretely advance Thailand’s future aviation industry.
