On August 19, 2026, Dr. Somboon Sahasithiwat, Executive Director of ENTEC, NSTDA, joined the NSTDA executive delegation on an official visit to CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency. The visit aimed to advance bilateral collaboration in science, technology, and innovation, with a primary focus on clean energy technologies, energy storage systems, and hybrid energy systems.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in technical knowledge exchanges with CSIRO’s Centre for Hybrid Energy Systems (CHES). The discussions focused on translating advanced research, including the integration of energy storage, renewables, and hydrogen technology, into practical applications to accelerate Thailand’s energy transition toward its Net Zero targets.
