On November 4, 2025, at the SIX SOUTH Meeting room, Innovation Cluster 2 Building B, Thailand Science Park
The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), welcomed delegates from China Southern Power Grid (CSG) Thailand Representative Office for a visit and collaborative discussions. The ENTEC team, led by Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director, along with Dr. Lily Eurwilaichitr, Assistant Executive Director, Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, Senior Researcher, and Dr. Jiravan Mongkoltanatas, hosted Mr. Dai Bin (Chief Representative), Mr. Ai Di (Senior Manager), and Miss Wachirapohn Khonarp (Executive Manager). Both parties exchanged information on power grid technologies, renewable energy, energy management, and clean energy innovations supporting carbon neutrality goals.
During the meeting, Mr. Dai Bin provided insights on the ongoing Lancang-Mekong cooperation, under which CSG has been implementing numerous projects, particularly in renewable energy, in collaboration with several countries in the Lancang-Mekong region. Meanwhile, ENTEC presented its research initiatives in various energy technologies, including clean energy management, oleochemical product development, solar power generation systems, hydrogen energy production, and end-of-life management of used solar panels and batteries, as well as the concept of second-life use and repurposing.
This exchange marks a significant step in establishing a partnership with a major power management organization from the People’s Republic of China and is anticipated to lead to collaborative research and innovation development supporting Thailand’s sustainable carbon neutrality goals.
