2025.10.29 ENTEC, NSTDA Organizes Brainstorming on the Development of a Standardized Connector for Small Battery Packs

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, organized a brainstorming meeting on the development of a standardized connector for small battery packs on 29 October 2025 at Meeting Room M120, MTEC Building, Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani.

The event was held under the project “Development of a Standardized Universal Connector for Small Battery Packs to Support a Sustainable Carbon-Neutral Energy Transition,” with participation from representatives of the Consortium for the Development of a Standardized Swappable Battery Industry for Small Electric Vehicles from both government and private sectors.

During the session, Dr. Pimpa Limpthongkul, project leader and president of the consortium, presented an overview of the “Research and Development Project on a Standardized Swappable Battery Pack Platform for Electric Motorcycles to Enhance Thailand’s Modern Automotive Industry (Phase 1)” along with the proposed connector specifications. Feedback and recommendations on connector standardization were gathered from participants.

The collected inputs will be analyzed and integrated into prototype development and testing, supporting the establishment of a national ecosystem for small battery packs and electric vehicles.
