2025.08.07 ENTEC Welcomes Atomis Inc. and Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd. from Japan

On August 7, 2025, at MP202 Meeting Room, MTEC Pilot Plant Building, Thailand Science Park

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA welcomed Mr. Daisuke Asari, Chief Executive Officer of Atomis Inc., along with representatives from Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd., Japan. The visit included a tour of ENTEC’s laboratories and a discussion on potential collaboration in gas storage technology, particularly its applications in gas transportation related to the energy transition, clean energy, and low-carbon energy.

On this occasion, ENTEC executive, Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of ENTEC, extended a warm welcome. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Visarn Lilavivat and Dr. Chaiyuth Sae-kung, who participated in the discussions and led the delegation on a tour of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Laboratory. The visit aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange and explore the potential for future research collaboration.

Atomis Inc. is a startup company from Kyoto University, founded in 2015, with the goal of advancing Porous Coordination Polymer/Metal–Organic Frameworks (PCP/MOFs) technology developed by Professor Susumu Kitagawa. Atomis Inc. and Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd. have jointly developed MOFs-based gas storage technology, which enables gas to be stored in compact, lightweight containers, enhancing the efficiency of gas transportation.
