On February 27, 2026, Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat, Leader of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, together with Dr. Tawan Champeecharoensuk and Dr. Arthit Champeecharoensuk, Researchers in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, met with representatives from the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) at Meeting Room MP205, MTEC Pilot Plant, Thailand Science Park.
The meeting focused on assessing stock turnover in the transport sector and advancing decarbonization efforts across ASEAN. Participants discussed potential areas for future collaboration, particularly the development of joint projects on transport sector decarbonization and stock-turnover modeling in ASEAN countries.
ENTEC and ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) have maintained continuous collaboration in advancing knowledge, standards, and practical guidelines to support clean energy development across the ASEAN region. ENTEC serves as a national expert contributing to the development of the ASEAN Energy Outlook (AEO) (https://aseanenergy.org/publications/the-8th-asean-energy-outlook) and supports the preparation of the “Guidebook for Accelerating ASEAN Climate Technology in the Energy Sector” (https://aseanenergy.org/publications/the-guidebook-for-accelerating-asean-climate-technology-in-the-energy-sector), as well as participating in initiatives on energy resilience, net zero transitions, and the roadmap for integrating electric vehicles (EVs) with biofuel development under the ASEAN cooperation framework for strengthening and sustaining regional energy collaboration into the future.
