On January 29, 2026, at the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani
Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, was interviewed on the SMART ENERGY program aired on Amarin TV, where she shared ENTEC’s role in driving research and development in clean energy and low-carbon technologies to support Thailand’s energy transition and its Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emissions targets.
In the interview with Ms. Sroifa Osukonthip, host of SMART ENERGY, Dr. Sumittra explained that ENTEC, as a national research center, has a mission to serve as a hub for the research, development, and integration of advanced energy technologies. ENTEC focuses on translating research outcomes from laboratories into practical applications through close collaboration with industry, policymakers, and society, thereby supporting Thailand’s energy transition.
A key topic featured in the program was ENTEC’s work on hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, which are recognized as critical solutions for long-term greenhouse gas emission reduction. ENTEC is actively advancing knowledge and innovation in low-carbon and green hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and applications in the energy and industrial sectors. These efforts are complemented by comprehensive assessments of technical feasibility, economic viability, and national readiness.
Through the integration of research and real-world deployment, ENTEC aims to enhance national energy security while contributing to sustainable greenhouse gas reduction and Thailand’s long-term Net Zero goals.
