2025.12.12 ENTEC–EVAM Discusses on Electric Vehicle Collaboration

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) NSTDA, led by Dr. Pimpa Limpthongkul, Director of the Energy Innovation Research Group, welcomed and held discussions with Mr. Dennis Chuah, President of the Electric Vehicle Association of Malaysia (EVAM), and Mr. Cheng Hoe Chuah, Managing Director of FluidLogic (SEA).

The key focus of the discussion was the establishment of bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia to advance knowledge exchange and the development of electric vehicle (EV) technologies, with particular emphasis on electric motorcycles, a segment that has gained significant popularity in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Thailand’s electric motorcycle manufacturers also possess strong capabilities and are keen to expand into the Malaysian market.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of the design and development of safe battery packs for electric motorcycles, as well as the exploration of effective end-of-life battery management approaches for electric vehicles.

This meeting marked an important first step toward future cooperation between the two countries in research and development, testing, capacity building, market expansion, and business opportunities, thereby strengthening the electric vehicle industries of both countries.
