The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, led by Dr. Lily Eurwilaichitr, Executive Assistant Director, and Dr. Kampanart Silva, Researcher from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, along with the research team, participated in a workshop to launch the “Guidelines for Sustainable Transport Infrastructure Investment.” The ENTEC team took part in the event as research members of the study team under the Sustainable Infrastructure Program in Asia (SIPA). The workshop was organized by the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP).
The guidelines serve as key reference guidance and an important operational framework to support decision-making for the country’s transport infrastructure investments, ensuring comprehensive sustainability across economic, social, and environmental dimensions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while remaining responsive to Thailand’s national development priorities and policy direction. The Guidelines are expected to be formally adopted and announced for implementation by the end of 2025.
ENTEC’s participation underscores the organization’s strong commitment to supporting the development of quality and sustainable infrastructure, which is a crucial foundation for Thailand’s long-term economic growth and social development.
