The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) of Thailand participated in the 6th International Forum on the New Power System and the 21st International Forum on CSG’s Technologies, organized by China Southern Power Grid (CSG) on October 30-31, 2025, in Boao, Hainan Province, China.
At this conference, Dr. Sumitra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of ENTEC, along with Dr. Visarn Lilavivat, was invited to serve as one of the keynote speakers. They presented on the topic ” Current Energy Market Status and Energy Research Development in Thailand”. Dr. Sumitra provided insights into Thailand’s energy market status, the transition towards renewable energy, and the country’s supporting measures for achieving carbon neutrality. Additionally, she highlighted ENTEC’s important role in developing and researching energy technologies, particularly nuclear energy and hydrogen, which are critical technologies in supporting the energy transition for the coming era.
The conference brought together leading experts and executives from around the world, including top management from China Southern Power Grid and representatives from world-renowned research institutions and universities, to exchange knowledge and share approaches in developing advanced new energy systems.
ENTEC’s participation as a keynote speaker demonstrates Thailand’s commitment to sustainable energy development and energy transition support. It also reflects the strengthening of scientific and technological cooperation between Thailand and China, with the shared vision of developing environmentally friendly energy and supporting the achievement of the highest global goal of carbon neutrality.
