On 29 October 2025, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), in collaboration with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), advanced the expansion of the deployment of “EnPAT,” a safe, Thai palm-oil-based transformer oil. The initiative involved the installation of an EnPAT-filled transformer in Chiang Phin Subdistrict, Mueang Udon Thani District, Udon Thani Province, under the supervision of PEA of Udon Thani. Mr. Chaloemkiat Klangsawat, Manager of the PEA Udon Thani, had the honor of overseeing the installation of this EnPAT-filled transformer.
EnPAT is not merely a transformer oil produced from palm oil, it is also a key component in the development of safer and more sustainable urban areas. It helps reduce fire risks and mitigate environmental impacts associated with the use of conventional mineral oil derived from petroleum. The adoption of EnPAT demonstrates Udon Thani Province’s commitment to pursuing urban development in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Furthermore, it enhances Udon Thani’s image as an attractive destination for investors who prioritize sustainable development and green technologies.
