2025.09.24 ENTEC and KMITL Chumphon Campus Sign MOU to Advance Energy Technology Research and Development

24 September 2025: Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and Associate Professor Kamronwit Thipmanee, Executive Vice President of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Chumphon Campus, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the research and development under the  “Integrated Knowledge Initiative for Advancing Education, Research, and Innovation in Energy Technology”. The signing was conducted via video conference (Webex), with researchers and executives from both organizations present as witnesses.

This MOU marks a significant step toward fostering academic collaboration, research, and knowledge exchange, particularly in the field of electric vehicles and integrated energy systems. The collaboration spans various technologies, including electric vehicle platforms, electric driving systems, energy storage, charging infrastructure, smart control systems, and energy-related infrastructure to support sustainable energy development in Chumphon Province and surrounding areas.

The partnership also emphasizes capacity building for students and personnel. It supports education and professional training through academic courses, workshops, internships, study visits, and work-integrated learning, including hands-on training through advanced engineering projects. These initiatives aim to prepare a workforce that aligns with the demands of technological transformation and industrial evolution.

This collaboration serves as a foundation for long-term synergy between the academic and research institutions. The initiative aims to drive knowledge creation and innovation in energy technology that remains relevant amid rapid global transformation. It is expected to enhance not only the capabilities of KMITL Chumphon Campus and ENTEC NSTDA but also contribute to developing a new generation of engineering and energy professionals, driving industrial applications, and ultimately improving quality of life at both regional and national levels.
