2025.06.05-04 ENTEC Collaborates with the IT Foundation Under the Royal Initiative to Organize a Workshop on Solar Power Generation and Telecommunication Systems Maintenance

June 4-5, 2025, at Huai Sai Royal Development Study Center, Phetchaburi

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under NSTDA, through its Solar Photovoltaic Research Team, collaborated with the Information Technology Foundation under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to launch a specialized training program for educators in marginalized communities. Police Lieutenant Colonel Kritsada Plodprong, Deputy Commander of the 14th Border Patrol Police, served as the honorary chair at the opening of the first practical training workshop of 2025, titled “Solar Power Generation and Telecommunications Systems Maintenance.”

As part of the “ICT for Lifelong Learning for Marginalized Communities” initiative which supports Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s development projects, the workshop aimed to improve quality of life and enhance technical skills among school staff from pilot schools in remote areas. Over 20 educators participated from 10 institutions, including 4 schools under the Border Patrol Police administration and 6 schools affiliated with Her Royal Highness’s development initiatives. The training integrated expertise from multiple sectors. In addition to specialist engineers from ENTEC’s Solar Photovoltaic Research Team, the program was also supported by expert engineers from the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), who served as field instructors.

This collaborative effort represents a significant step toward empowering rural educators with essential technical knowledge to maintain critical infrastructure that supports educational technology in Thailand’s remote border regions.
