On 15 June 2026, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), welcomed a delegation of more than 40 students, faculty members, and staff from the Battery Science and New Energy Program, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University. The visit aimed to provide participants with first-hand exposure to energy technology research and development at a national research institution and to enhance their learning experience through engagement with real-world research environments.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On this occasion, Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of the Energy Innovation Research Group at ENTEC, delivered a welcome address and introduced ENTEC\u2019s mission, as well as the center\u2019s research and innovation activities that support Thailand\u2019s energy transition. The presentation highlighted key research areas, including renewable energy, energy storage systems, solar energy technologies, and other emerging clean energy solutions.<\/span><\/p>

The delegation was then guided by Dr. Jiravan Mongkoltanatas, Leader of the Energy Storage Technology Research Team, together with researchers Dr. Priew Iamlamai, Dr. Chakrit Sriprachuabwong, Dr. Chatwarin Poochai, Dr. Yaowamarn Chuminjak, Ms. Panida Muangkasem, and Ms. Phontip Tammawat. Participants toured ENTEC\u2019s research laboratories and learned about the center\u2019s work on advanced battery technologies, covering both lithium-ion batteries and next-generation alternative battery systems. The visit provided insights into the entire battery value chain, from materials development and cell design and testing to battery pack and module development, as well as battery recycling and end-of-life management technologies that support a circular economy and sustainable resource utilization.<\/span><\/p>

The study visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to connect classroom learning with practical research and innovation.
