The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), reaffirmed its leading role in battery governance and the advancement of \u00a0Thailand\u2019s green energy industry through\u00a0 a keynote presentation panel moderation at the \u201cFirst Step – Thailand Battery Tracking System Workshop\u201d held at Terra-Spark Room, 4th Floor, Novotel Bangkok Siam Square, on May 20, 2026. The event was organized by the Thai-German Cooperation on Energy, Mobility and Climate (TGC-ECM).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During the workshop, Dr. Nattanai Khunanusont, Researcher from ENTEC\u2019s Energy Storage Technology Research Team, delivered a keynote presentation titled \u201cFundamental Understanding of Battery Passport.\u201d The session introduced key concepts, definitions, technical terms, and policy approaches related to Battery Passport and battery management systems, which are essential principle that form the foundation for Thailand\u2019s future battery tracking system. The presentation also highlighted ENTEC\u2019s role in supporting policy development and battery governance throughout the battery life cycle.<\/span><\/p>

The workshop was officially opened by Mr. Sarat Prakobchart, Deputy Director General of the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO), while Dr. Dominika Kalinowska, Transport Project Director for GIZ Thailand, delivered the welcome remarks.<\/span><\/p>

In addition, Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of Energy Innovation Research Group at ENTEC, moderated a panel discussion on \u201cIntegration Challenges,\u201d focusing on practical challenges in implementing Battery Passport systems. The discussion brought together representatives from leading industry organizations, including:<\/span><\/p>

  1. Tassanai Sawaengsub, Chief Executive Officer, Next Tier Co., Ltd.<\/span><\/li>
  2. Chantakorn Devid Gridwitchayayarkarn, Chief Executive Officer, GridWhiz Group (Thailand and Singapore)<\/span><\/li>
  3. Kornwika Chaiprateep, Deputy Managing Director, SK Tes Thailand<\/span><\/li>
  4. Charubutr Asavaroengchai, Manager, Thonburi Automotive Assembly Plant Co., Ltd.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    ENTEC\u2019s participation in this international workshop reflects its important role in advancing Battery Passport policy and battery tracking systems in Thailand, supporting the sustainable growth of the electric vehicle and clean energy industries.
