On April 23, 2026, Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani<\/span><\/p>

The National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), in collaboration with Yachiyo Engineering Company Limited and Atomis Incorporated, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance high-level energy technology. The signing ceremony was honored by the presence of H.E. Mr. Otaka Masato, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, who served as a witness and delivered congratulatory remarks. He stated that this MOU reflects the shared commitment of Thailand and Japan to enhancing energy cooperation while addressing the global climate challenges. Central to this initiative is MOFs technology, pioneered by Professor Susumu Kitagawa of Kyoto University, a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (2025). Its key capabilities include carbon dioxide capture and the efficient storage of hydrogen and biomethane for clean energy. Furthermore, the technology can be adapted for emergency situations, such as flooding, which has become increasingly frequent in recent years.
