The Thailand Standard Swappable Battery Consortium for Small e-Mobility, known as \u201cThailand Battswap\u201d had the honor of receiving the opening address from Associate Professor Dr. Nopbhorn Leeprechanon, Acting Vice President of the Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), to promote the initiative. The Thailand Battswap consortium is administered by Dr. Pimpa Limthongkul, Director of the Energy Innovation Research Group, ENTEC, who also serves as the consortium\u2019s President. Thailand Battswap initiative receives support through the electric vehicle innovation and related technologies promotion program of the National Innovation Agency (NIA), represented by Mr. Apivathan Tavornkaew, Innovation Developer at NIA (Public Organization).<\/p>

On this significant occasion, Thailand Battswap held a forum titled \u201cThe Role of Driving Advancement in the Battery and Small Electric Vehicle Industry in Thailand,\u201d bringing together key partners to share and discuss their invaluable insights, as follows:<\/p>

  • \u201cNSTDA\u2019s Role in Supporting the Development of Electric Vehicle Technology in Thailand\u201d by Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) and Director of Thailand Electric Vehicle Excellence Center (TECE) at the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).<\/li>
  • \u201cThe Role and Budget Allocation for Modern Vehicle R&D in Thailand\u201d by Assistant Professor Dr. Kitchanon Ruangjirakit, Manager of the Strategic Agenda Team for Modern Vehicle R&D and Innovation at the Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI).<\/li>
  • \u201cA Policy on Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation for Supporting the Development of Modern Vehicle Industry\u201d by Dr. Thanakarn Wongdeethai, Strategist at the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO).<\/li>
  • \u201cPromoting Electric Vehicle Safety through Standards and Testing\u201d by Mr. Worawut Kowongpanich, Director of Technical Service & Innovation Development Department at Thailan Automotive Institute (TAI).<\/li>
  • \u201cPromoting Pilot Use of Electric Motorcycles and Modified Electric Motorcycles in Bangkok\u201d by Dr. Thongchai Jinapan, Board Member of the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT).<\/li>
  • \u201cUpdates on Battery Swapping Standards from Various Countries\u201d by Associate Professor Dr. Nonglak MeeThong, Board Member of the Thailand Energy Storage Technology Association (TESTA).<\/li><\/ul>

    \u201cThailand Battswap\u201d aims to develop and rely on battery swapping technology for small electric vehicles in Thailand within 3 years by promoting cooperation to develop and establish a standardized battery swapping system for small electric vehicles, ensuring widespread production and usage of standard battery packs, as well as installing swapping stations in key locations and managing battery disposal to create a sustainable value chain.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
